The "Find and associate" workflow action in HubSpot allows you to link objects like Deals, Companies, Contacts or Custom Objects by searching for a specific value in a given property.
How to setup Find and associate
- Add "Find and associate" action to your workflow

Select Object Type: Choose the type of object you want to associate with, such as a Deal, Contact, etc.

Select Object Property: Define the property you will use to find the object. It could be a Deal Name, Contact Email, etc.

Enter Object Value: Input the specific value to search for. You can use static values or dynamic ones using contact tokens.

Set Association Label (Optional): If you have a specific label for the association, enter it here. You can also use tokens to set dynamic labels
Remember, after setting up:
- The workflow will search for objects that match your criteria and associate them with the current record in the workflow.
- If multiple objects are found, it will create associations with up to 20 of those objects
- The association process might take a few minutes, even if HubSpot indicates the action was completed.
This action is particularly useful for maintaining organized and interconnected data within your HubSpot CRM, ensuring that related records are appropriately linked for efficient tracking and reporting.
Find and associate Workflow action supports standard and custom objects. It can be also run in Quote and Invoice based workflow to automatically associate Quotes and Invoices with other objects. That is particularly useful for invoices uploaded from external system.
